MACP Sub Committee meeting to be held on 15th March, 2011...

The sub committee constituted by the National Anomaly Committee to look into the issues concerning the MACP is scheduled to meet on 15th March, 2011. Com. S.K. Vyas, President, Confederation will attend the meeting as a member of the Committee.

      Sub: - Minimum service period required for Inter-Railways/Divisional transfer, as mentioned in Offer of Appointment to sportspersons for reruitement against Sports Quota.


Ref: Board's letter No. 2010/E(Sports)/4(1)/1(Policy) dt. 31.12.2010.

Please refer to Para 3(iv) of Annexure-V to Board's policy letter mentioned above. As, the minimum service required on the Railway for Inter-Railway/Divisional transfer has been reduced to 5 years from 10 years, vide Board's letter No.2011/E(Sporsts)/4(3)/4(Transfer Policy) dt. 17.02.2011; the Para 3(iv) of Annexure-V to Board's policy letter referred above, may be revised and the word "ten" as mentioned in second line of said para, be replaced with "five".

Rate of Conveyance Allowance to the blind and orthopedically handicapped State Govt. employees

MEMORANDUM

No : 1145-F(P) Kolkata, the 14 th February, 2011

The Fifth Pay Commission has submitted its recommendations on the rate of Conveyance Allowance admissible to the Bl ind & Orthopaedically Handicapped State Government employees. The existing rate of Conveyance Allowanace admissible to the Blind & Orthopaedically Handicapped State Government employees is 5% of Basic pay subject to a maximum of Rs. 200/- p.m.

After careful consideration of the existing rules and orders and recommendations of the Pay Commission in this regard the Governor, in partial modification of Rule 29A of West Bengal Service Rule, Part-II as am ended in Finance Department Memo No. 4730-F dt 25/05/99, is pleased to decide that the Conveyance Allowance to the Blind & Orthopaedically Handicapped State Government employees may be allowed at the rate of 5% of the revised Basic Pay under WBS(ROPA) Rules, 2009 which is the sum total of Band Pay and Grade Pay subject to a maximum of Rs. 400/- p.m..
This order shall take effect from 01.01.2011.

Formal amendments in the relevant Rules of WBSR, Part-II will be made in due course.
